WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES)…

We are seeking a licensed clinician with a certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to provide assessment and treatment to an assigned group of clients. In this position you will have a critical role both delivering direct services and as a clinical consultant to a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Provide group, individual and family therapy to clients as required.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments including initial intakes and on-going assessments.
  • Work with service recipients to create person-centered recovery plans.
  • Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff.
  • Complete all agency records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach.
  • Participate in crisis response services providing risk assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization and counseling, and assessment for hospitalization.
  • Serve as a client advocate with appropriate and timely referrals to other agencies, provide consultation and follow-up communication with law enforcement agencies, community agencies, schools, medical facilities and inpatient units.
  • Actively participate in team communication processes that ensure appropriate services and outcomes.
Requirements:

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or other related social services field.
  • Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred
  • LCSW and LMHC will also be considered.
  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification required.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical work experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and genuine outlook about change with a belief that people can achieve positive outcomes.
  • Open to learning and enhancing skills.
