Job Description

As a Strategic Finance Analyst at LDG, you will play a crucial role in evaluating Build-to-Rent (BTR) investment opportunities and supporting investment decisions. You will work alongside senior management and other internal team members from initial deal sourcing through closing and deal capitalization. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough underwriting procedures, market research, and due diligence, which will lead to developing an investment thesis for BTR opportunities. You will collaborate with institutional capital partners and lenders, with your insights directly influencing investment strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to key corporate decisions to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform detailed financial analysis, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses.
2. Conduct market research and assist in identifying target MSAs and submarkets for investment and expansion through data-driven analysis.
3. Evaluate potential real estate acquisitions, developments, or dispositions based on strategic fit, risk-return profiles, and investment criteria.
4. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (lenders, institutional capital) to gather relevant data for investment decisions.
5. Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for senior management and investment committees.
6. Assist the Acquisitions team with early-stage deal screening and underwriting.
7. Stay informed on market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting real estate investments.
8. Work with senior management on business plans and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
2. 2+ years of experience in real estate investment management, private equity, or investment banking (preferred).
3. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
4. Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
6. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and make sound decisions with minimal oversight.
7. Willingness to collaborate and take on multiple roles within the organization.
