Job Description

Job Type: Contract-40hrs week

Location: Miramar, FL HYBRID

Duration: Until 11/05/2025, with potential for extension

As a Project Manager , you'll take the lead on critical, high-visibility projects that are shaping the future of our business. You’ll work cross-functionally with IT and business leaders—from initial planning through execution and delivery—ensuring outcomes are on time, on budget, and aligned with organizational goals.

This is more than a project execution role—it’s a chance to become a trusted strategic partner and change agent

Strategic Leadership (20%)

  • Partner with IT and business leadership to define project goals that support larger business strategies
  • Help identify and address enterprise-wide opportunities for process improvement and innovation
  • Act as a thought leader by recommending and applying project management best practices to streamline delivery and align efforts across functions

Project Execution & Delivery (60%)

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects—ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and with high quality
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders
  • Track progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to keep projects moving forward
  • Communicate status and updates clearly to executives and senior leadership to drive timely decision-making
  • Apply consistent project management methodologies and ensure high standards are met across the project lifecycle

Team Development & Continuous Improvement (20%)

  • Coach and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and project management trends to strengthen personal capabilities and enhance team performance
  • Share knowledge across teams and contribute to the evolution of Southern’s project management standards and tools

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional IT projects in large, fast-paced organizations
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable project plans
  • Experience using BlueYonder/ Supply Chain Logistics
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially at the executive level
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Experience mentoring and developing teams with a focus on delivery excellence
  • PMP or similar certification (preferred but not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (Master’s a plus)
