Job Description

Location - Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation will be competitive Bay Area Base + Commissions and Bonus.

About the Role - Key outside contact for developing new and existing customers. Main thrust is to create new profitable business. Concentration on understanding what products the customer designs and/or manufactures, along with understanding potential, applicable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop new parts at both new and existing focus accounts.
• Develop account information for these accounts with respect to products manufactured, main engineering, purchasing and other key contacts.
• Recommend pricing for new parts to optimize profitability above our minimum model.
• Conduct seminars of product information with respect to company’s capability.
• Develop understanding and knowledge of raw materials from key strategic supplies and their potential uses and performance characteristics of those materials.
• Develop understanding and knowledge of fabrication capabilities.
• Sales Engineer is responsible for capturing, defining, documenting and communicating all of the customer’s requirements from part design to business practices.
• Ability to project a professional image via digital media.

Required Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Preferred Skills - Bachelors degree (BA or BS) and two years related experience and training.
