About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Shelly Northeast finance team. This role is critical in providing financial insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, forecasting performance, and supporting strategic initiatives to ensure financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Variance Analysis: Monitor and report on budget vs. actual performance, identifying key drivers of variances.
  • Data Modeling: Develop financial models to support business planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making.
  • KPI Tracking: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance and business efficiency.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments to gather data, validate assumptions, and provide financial guidance.
  • Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and assess the financial impact of operational decisions.
  • Risk Assessment: Assist in identifying financial risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Support automation and enhancement of financial reporting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role within a manufacturing environment. ** We are also open to entry level candidates with financial internships in manufacturing environments

Required Skills

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, and data analysis tools; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and diligence in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and proactively identify solutions to financial challenges.
