Job Description
RMS Asset Management LLC, a specialized asset manager for portfolios of mortgage loans and REOs, is looking for an entry-level accountant to join its Accounting and Reporting team. The entry-level accountant will be working closely with the accounting manager and report to the controller. This position will be based in our office in West Los Angeles, CA.
Job Description:
· Perform daily bank reconciliations
· Post journal entries and prepare monthly/annual financial statements for multiple entities
· Process payable and reconcile GL accounts
· Import monthly remittance reports to the company’s asset management system and ensure accuracy of all loadings
· Assist with portfolio reconciliations and reporting
· Assist with tax return and other filings
· Assist with ad-hoc and other administrative/accounting related tasks
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
· Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook and Word
· Accounting internship experience preferred
· Detailed-oriented and organized
· Excellent communication skills and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
