The Receiving Associate will unload shipments, verify, and transport items to the appropriate location in the Distribution Center. Responsibilities include unloading shipments, verifying accuracy, transporting shipments to proper locations, recording all incoming shipments on receiving log, distributing, sorting, and recording shipments received via UPS, Federal Express, etc., delivering next day airmail immediately upon receipt, handling Pro Point repair and returns, shipping W.O.G. and cross docks to jobbers, assisting in unloading returned merchandise from stores, verifying accuracy of piece count, transporting merchandise to check-in areas, and performing any other management assigned duties. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent work experience, 6 months prior work experience, knowledge of the entire stockroom, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, communication skills, personal drive and initiative, willingness to learn, analytical problem solving skills, ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, ability to pass drug screen and background check, strong customer relationship skills, ability to operate a RADS gun, forklift certification, visual recognition skills, clear speaking and attentive listening, physical ability to stand and walk for entire shift, lift up to 60 pounds, bend or stoop repeatedly, and move heavy equipment with aids.
