Bonus Paid Holidays! PTO! Job Details We're seeking an ambitious and dynamic individual to join our team as a Director of New Product and Innovation in the Food Manufacturing sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a background in food science to spearhead our new product development and innovation efforts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our product portfolio by developing and launching innovative food products that align with our brand, meet consumer demands, and comply with regulatory standards. This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can drive innovation, manage multiple projects, and lead a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Responsibilities Lead the overall strategy for new product development and innovation, ensuring alignment with our brand values and business objectives. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new product opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends and consumer preferences. Oversee the development of new products from ideation to launch, managing all aspects including formulation, testing, production, and packaging. Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches. Ensure all new products comply with relevant regulatory standards, including food safety and labeling requirements. Foster a culture of innovation within the organization, encouraging creative thinking and continuous improvement. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Monitor and report on the performance of new products, making recommendations for improvements or discontinuations as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is required. Advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in new product development and innovation within the food manufacturing industry. Proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products. Comprehensive knowledge of food manufacturing processes, food safety regulations, and labeling requirements. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights to drive product innovation. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
