Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. Looking for contract or agency work closer to home? The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for short-term CNAs to join our team working FULL TIME hours, on evening or night shift, for a minimum of 15 weeks or up to 780 hours. Rate of pay is $27.02*. Evening hours are 2 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. & night hours are 8:15 P.M. to 6:15 A.M. Will work every other weekend. This position is not eligible for benefits. The candidate may apply for a permanent position at the end of the 15 weeks if interested. *Wage of $27.02 is based on employees working a minimum of 80 hours a pay period for 15 weeks. Employees working less hours will have an hourly wage of $19.43-$27.02. Must be a certified Nursing Assistant. Performs basic personal care of residents following a plan of care developed by the primary nurse to meet the resident care needs. Will complete documentation and sign off in resident charts and care plans.
