Exo Legal, a boutique law office located in Nashville, is looking for a Tennessee licensed attorney with 2-4 years (or more) of experience to help with our growing practice. Our firm assists clients in banking, business, real property, construction, sales, and commercial transactions and, specifically, the litigation that arises in those areas. Our practice's footprint is generally in the Middle Tennessee area.

We are looking for candidates with litigation backgrounds, and experience in banking, bankruptcy, or commercial transactions/litigation is a big plus (but not required). This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who want to join a busy commercial practice, learn by working with well-known lawyers, and grow into a role with broad responsibility and with genuine support for professional growth. Our modern practice's model emphasizes quality of work, not high billable hours.

Successful candidates must be able to provide high quality work product and have great attention to detail and timeliness. Our firm services a number of regular and long-standing clients in the banking and commercial real estate industries, and we strive to exceed our clients' expectations on any task, big or small. This is a small firm, so the ability to work independently and with self-driven purpose is an essential skill.

We are open to a variety of alternative arrangements (full-time/part-time/contract) for a well-qualified candidate. The role is hybrid, but easy availability for in-person / on-site work is required for this position (this role involves court appearances in Nashville and the surrounding areas). If you are not currently a resident of the greater Nashville area, please explain your ability to perform this role.

Strong academic credentials and exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Candidates must value teamwork and collaboration, but also be able to handle significant individual responsibilities. Prior experience working in a law firm is a plus.

Typical tasks would include:

· Manage commercial litigation and transactional legal files from start to finish, identifying and assisting client and/or senior lawyer with next steps in all stages of the matter. This includes: Direct client contact; Preparing pleadings and correspondence; Scheduling and attending hearings, depositions, and other case events; Filing and E-filing in state and federal courts.

· Perform new client interviews and intakes, opening files, and ongoing communications with clients and third parties throughout lifecycle of matter (on administrative aspects, as well as case preparation and related updates).

· File and communication maintenance, organization, and planning.

· Electronic and physical records maintenance, including handling of incoming and outgoing mail, electronic mail, pleadings, and electronic document storage/organization.

· Factual and legal research on cases.

· Client and industry networking and events.

· Law degree from a reputable program.
