It’s newest and fastest-growing publication, “Inside The Valley” magazine serves the region’s five Valleys: San Fernando Valley, Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and Antelope Valley. Through its printed magazines, robust digital assets, and targeted business events (both digital and in-person) throughout the year, the Business Journal provides invaluable information and access to C-Suite executives throughout the region.

We are looking for experienced B2B sales professionals to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to build a career, work in a dynamic industry, meet with leadership of various industries impacting Los Angeles and earn an uncapped income.

Role & Responsibilities:

• In addition to increasing business with established accounts within an existing book of business, the ideal candidate must be eager to meet with prospective clients and agencies to present and close new business.
• Sales and management of print and digital advertising campaigns and event sponsorships.
• Daily responsibilities include prospecting new advertisers, and business executives to make sales presentations (in-person and over mediums such as Zoom), writing sales proposals, account management of clients, and networking at various business events.
• Drive revenue through a consultative sales approach by creating value and partnerships with the business community.
• This position reports to the office daily (unless out on sales calls). This position offer work-from-home opportunities as it is dependent on being a part of a team and collaboration.
• This is considered an outside sales position with Exempt status.

Qualifications & Skills:

· The right candidate is highly-motivated, with a desire to join a culture dedicated to growth and achievement.

· College degree (Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism is a plus but not required).

· Media sales experience. Experience working with professional service firms is preferred.

· Strong interpersonal communication, computer and writing skills.

· Strong sense of priority, ability to shift to different projects and manage time effectively.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the flexibility to work on both team-based projects as well as independent projects.

· Candidate must possess a valid CA driver’s license and insurance.

Compensation:

This position is responsible for maintaining an established book of clientele and growing new business. Compensation consists of a modest base salary plus earned commissions. Benefits package includes: medical, dental, vision, PTO, FSA and 401k (no match).

Salary: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year *Depending on experience and sales*
